What is RAW Format?
There is no full form for the RAW format. Basically a raw photo is a lossless file, meaning that it captures uncompressed data from your camera sensor. These are large, high-quality files that offer a wider dynamic range and a much broader color spectrum than a standard JPEG. Basically, this allows the photographers to add their photos much more than we would be able to do otherwise, and really, you know, make that photo come to life
Why Professional Photographers Use RAW Images
Photographers love the RAW format because it captures every detail of the image with great clarity. Your shadow, your lips, your eyes, everything is captured perfectly, making this RAW format a favorite for photographers. But remember that the file size of ROOF and MATE is larger if we compare it with any other format, such as JPEG. The reason why Raw Image Format is preferred over Matte is that in this format, every single thing about you is captured clearly. Your shadows, your highlights, your colors, and every little thing like that are captured perfectly. When we process a photo taken with raw and matte in Lightroom, the photographer has the facility to edit every detail of it, such as its shade, its exposure, recover its shadows, its light, its color, and everything can be edited perfectly in this format. For all these reasons, photographers capture their images in raw and midi format to make editing as easy as possible and to deliver the photos to their clients in the best possible way, making it the most popular format for raw and midi photography.
